***UPDATE JANUARY 2016: Please note that Chisato is currently not accepting any new client work as an interpreter. Thank you for your kind understanding.***
Through an unusual experience of moving back and forth between the U.S. and Japan throughout her formative years, Chisato gained native fluency in both English and Japanese (written and oral).
Chisato specializes in the fields of design, art, film, and food. Her professional backgrounds in the arts, luxury brands, and hospitality industry give her insight and specialized knowledge that few other interpreters can claim. She has extensive experience doing onstage Q&A's, lectures, and press interviews. She is also available for translation of various media, such as film subtitling, comics/manga, anime, and video games.
Please see the "RADIO" page to hear a sample of Chisato interpreting for film director Kore-eda Hirokazu on NPR.
